The Health, Safety, and Environment Team of the Business Studies Department organized a seminar on Electrical Hazards and Safety, imparting valuable insights to our Department of Business Studies. The event, featuring distinguished guest speaker Mr. Rajababu Natarajan, an expert in the field, took place on December 11, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in BS133.

Mr. Rajababu shared invaluable knowledge about the fundamentals of electrical concepts, emphasizing the importance of understanding voltage, circuits, and faults. The seminar, anchored by statistics from the International Labor Organization (ILO) on electrical accidents, aimed to broaden participants' awareness of electrical hazards. Attendees gained insights into common risks such as improper grounding, exposed electrical parts, inadequate wiring, and overloaded circuits. The session also highlighted safety protective devices and various materials like conductors, insulators, and semiconductors.

The final segment of the seminar focused on practical measures to enhance electrical safety. Through an interactive Q&A session, participants engaged with Mr. Rajababu, deepening their understanding of safety protocols and gaining valuable insights. Mr. Rajababu's expertise enriched the discussion, making the seminar a valuable resource for our student community within the Department of Business Studies.
