Workshop on Developing Practical Skills Using DBMS Software for Computer Engineering Students

Department of Engineering conducted a workshop on the Development of Practical Skills on the usage of DBMS software on 30th November 2021. Eight (6) students attended the actual session held in AD304.

DBMS or Database Management System is software used in students’ projects as a Backend. There is a need to give an insight on RDBMS, since it is the backbone of all industries and is used in banking, automation, business, etc.

Dr. Amjath Ali gave the software introduction in which he discussed the practical applications of DBMS and DDL commands. It was followed by Mr. Mujeebudheen Khan, who explained the Oracle software and the DML commands. Then in the practical part, the students were given actual hands-on training in Oracle. Mr. Haji, Mr.Haji Ali, Mr.Arnold Braza, and Mr.Jaber Al-Hajri assisted the students during the practical exercises and debugging. The practical exercises helped them in solving complex questions given at the end of the workshop. Hand-out materials were also provided to the students for their future reference.

The event was organized by Mr. Mujeebudheen Khan, Dr. Amjath Ali, Mr. Haji Ali, Mr. Arnold Braza, and Mr. Jaber Al-Hajri.
