Engineering department improves students’ practical skills through Industrial visits .In this connection, the Electrical section OJT coordinator arranged an Industrial visit for Diploma Electronics & Telecom students to enhance the hands on experience skills in Fiber Optic Cables on October 22, 2019 in Oman Fiber Optic Company Muscat.

The Industrial visit mainly focused to give the practice for our students to understand about telecom network fiber optic cables identification different types. Manufacturing of different network fiber optic cables and testing of different cables . This visit also covered the wide spectrum of practical knowledge for all participated students (16students) and increased their self-interests towards further study in the Telecommunication network fiber optic cable installation skills concepts as a self-learner for future development. The Visit was facilitated by the OJT coordinator Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim & the course lecturer Mohammed GulamWahid.

In connection to the process of Initiating MoC Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), On 22-10-2019 along with our students industrial visit, a meeting was conducted in Oman fiber optic Company,Muscat with Mr.Taj Al Jadjali,Business development manager and Ms.Mahfoudha Mubarak Al Araimi Director.The first MoC draft was submitted to the director and as per request of OJT coordinator the updated draft from Oman Fiber Optic Company will be send to us soon,In shaa allah.Also they felt very happy and appreciated our approach and presented an appreciation certificate to Ibra college of technology,at the end of our session.
