An Educational field trip was arranged at the Sultan qaboos Port, Muscat on 12-02-2020 for Advance Diploma Electronics & Telecom students to enhance the Technical knowledge in the Subject (EETE3110) Signals and systems.
Mr.Badar AL Zedjali Superintendent Planning Port Sultan Qaboos described the following phenomena in detail:

- Flavors of signal processing units at port
- Architecture and working Mechanism of cruise ship
- Necessity of control station
- Technical specifications and signal processing unit of control station
- Tower Antenna specifications at port
- Entry and exit phenomenon of ships
- Rules regulations and requirement
- For ship entry (72 hours signal processing and system approach)
- Kinds of accidents in sea
- Safety measures and techniques
- Security procedures and awareness
- Necessity of Army ship at Port
- Signal transactions among the ships
- Significance of channel 16 and channel 64
- Advanced signal processing unit
This visit had exhibit wide distinctive experience for all the participated students (10students) and increased their interests towards further study in the Telecommunication signal processing concepts. Students had shown greater enthusiasm in learning the technical aspects and mechanism of ships.
As per the instructions from Dean and Asst Dean this visit was organized and facilitated by the OJT coordinator Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim in coordination with Ms.Shaima Yaqoob Al.Azri Strategist -Human Capital Logistics Strategy and Ms.Amina Al Siyabi Strategist – Human Capital Oman Logistics Center.
