A workshop on Academic Advising was conducted by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs for the Business staff on 12/11/2019 at 1:00 PM in BS 112.

The session highlighted the roles and responsibilities of an advisor. The speaker emphasized that the advisers should help the student set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements. Also the need for recording the meetings advisor had with the advisees on AdTrac was highlighted and the advisors were requested to meet their advisees at least 3 times in a semester and special attention to be taken on students under probation.

The session concluded with a discussion on the challenges faced by the advisers and appropriate clarifications were suggested for the same by the resource person.
