An orientation on ‘How to Operate and Use the Voice Reorders for Recording the Speaking Exam’ was conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 1.00 PM -2.00 PM in the ELC Main Hall.

The oral exams are recorded to ensure consistency and validity of the assessment, reevaluate students’ performance if need be, and benchmark the examination administration procedure with other international examinations’. Dr. Thuraya Al Riyami, the HOC, ELC, initiated the orientation and the ELC Exam Writers went on with demonstrating the procedure of recording and saving the speaking exam.

All ELC staff attended the programme and had hands-on experience by working in pairs. They were also shown sample videos recorded by the exam writers on how to use the device during the exam. Staff commented that the training was very fruitful.
