Student Society and Industrial Link(OJT) committees of IT Department conducted OCPC Awareness session for Diploma students of IT Department.

Dr. Nasser M. Al Zeidi, Asst. Professor of Computer Science Department, Sultan Qaboos University was the resource person. He conducted an orientation on the Oman Collegiate Programming Contest (OCPC) which will be held on October 31 to November 1, 2017 at Sultan Qaboos University.

The goal of the orientation is to encourage students from Ibra College of Technology to participate in the upcoming competition which will be participated by different colleges and universities in the sultanate. The speaker presented highlights of the previous events and how students who won in the competition and is now working in multi – national companies outside Oman.

Students were encouraged to make good in programming as this is one of the most highly paid job after graduation based on the speaker’s speech and presentation. Finally the awareness ends up on the students asking inquiry on how to register and join the competition.
