IT Programming Contest (ITPC 2018) ELIMINATION ROUND

The ELIMINATION ROUND of the IT Programming Contest (ITPC 2018) was held on 6th February, 2018 at 12:00-2:00PM in BS102 and BS103.

The students were assessed for their analytical, logical and programming skills by a panel of Judges, and the given students below are the 12 Finalists:

  • Iman Rashid Al-Butaini
  • Jawaher Sulaiman Al-Barashdi
  • Marah Salim Al-Shuhaimi
  • Maryam Saif Al-Maskari
  • Muzna Khalid Al-Harthy
  • Sausan Shinoon Al-Suti
  • Shaima Ali Al-Habsi
  • Zainab Hamed Al-Brashdi

The 12 qualified Finalists were awarded with tokens and Certificate by Mrs. Faiza Al-Harthy, HOD-IT with ITPC 2018 Team Members and Judges. The FINAL ROUND of the competition will be conducted on 18th February, 2018 at 12:00-2:00PM in IT301.

Certificate of participation were also awarded by Mr. Mohd Osman, HOS-Multimedia, Mr. Mohd Tariq Shaikh, HOS-IT and the ITPC 2018 Team Coordinator.

The registration for Elimination Round was opened online through the college website and a total of 62 students attended and participated from Information Technology and Engineering departments. These students are knowledgeable in C++ and Java, the prescribed programming languages to be used in the competition but students can use any programming languages they prefer.

This Programming Contest aims to provide students with opportunities to interact with other students in Ibra College Technology. It will help students improve and sharpen their problem-solving and programming skills. It will also train students build their confidence, develop their rapport and team work in programming, and prepare them for any programming competition outside the college.

Congratulations not only to the Finalist but also to all the participating students who spared their time to join the competition. Hats-off to the whole ITPC 2018 Team, Student Society, Student Guidance Committee, ETC Support and to all who had helped and contributed in making this competition successful.
