Ibra College of Technology 3rd Alumni Gathering

As an initiating activity for the celebration of the Annual Sports Day in Ibra College of Technology, the female staff, headed by the college dean, Dr. Azzah Ahmed Said Al-Maskari gathered together for a morning walk. With the collaboration of the Ministry of Health Ibra, the walk started at 8:00 AM of 7th February, 2017 at Ibra Public Park.

The annual walk was intended to open the minds of female staff to be cautious with their health. The representatives from the Ministry of Health, who were also promoting their nationwide awareness campaign for the importance of regular exercise among women, also gave some useful health advice to the participants. According to them, regular exercise such as a morning walk will keep one fit. It will help control chronic diseases like blood pressure and diabetes and lessens the stress. They also provided free shirts and caps to the participants as memorabilia for the campaign.

The female ICT staff made two rounds of energetic walk around the park. After the walk, the representatives from the ministry of health prepared some healthy refreshments for everyone. They also gave free blood sugar and blood pressure checkup.

At the end of the activity, Dr. Azzah awarded the certificates of appreciation to the representatives from the Ministry of Health for their support to ICT in promoting good health habits among its staff. The following are the Ministry of Health representatives who participated the activity; Ms. Maryam Salim Khalfan Al-Jabri, Ms. Suaad Saleem Ali Al-Maamari, Ms. Zakiya Saleem Salim Al-Musulmi, Ms. Sameera Saeed Al-habsi, Ms. Badriya Mubarak Al-Battashi and Ms. Sabah Sulaiman Al-Balushi.
