BAHR2203 Recruitment and Selection 3 Credit Hours

Goal To introduce students to the strategies, legal and administrative issues associated with recruitment and selection of employees
ObjectivesOutcomes
The course will enable students to:

  1. Understand the details of the process of staffing including the assessment of needs.
  2. Students will be familiar with methods and techniques of writing job descriptions, reviewing job applications, conducting interviews and all the activities of recruitment.
The students should be able to:

  1. Recognize the role of HR functions in staffing.
  2. Exercise oral communication skills and written communication skills.
  3. Exercise the teamwork skills.
  4. Write job descriptions.
  5. Conduct interviews
  6. Examine career issues from the point view of the employees and the organizations.
  7. Analyze problems and issues of staffing and suggest alternatives.
  8. Study the organizational strategies and plans in order to identify any shortage of employees.
  9. Ensure that the organization complies with legal issues associated with recruitment and selection.
