ICT Installed Automatic Road Barrier System

ICT has installed an Automatic Road Barrier System at the main gate which will stop unauthorized cars from entering the college premises. Furthermore, the Automatic Road Barrier System (ARBS) will regulate the traffic during the rush hours.
All the ICT staff, with personal vehicle, has been provided with RFID card, this card is holding the personal information of the staff and their vehicle and should be always kept in the car probably towards the right side of the dashboard during entering the main gate. Once the vehicle passes close to the ICT main gate, the card will be detected by RFID detector mounted on the pole near the ARBS. On detecting the RFID card, the barrier will auto-open and close simultaneously once the vehicle crosses the barrier.
On 12th of September 2012, all the college staff with personal vehicles was briefed about the ARBS. The session was organized by Educational Technology Centre and it was held near the ICT main gate. All RFID card holders joined the session including the College Dean and the assistant deans, the session was quite informative and provided enough information for staff in order to enter and exit the main gate without hassles.
