About Information Technology Department
The Department is headed by Mr. Mohd. Osman, ably supported by qualified lecturers and experienced in Database, Networking and Software Engineering. The Department runs three level of courses viz. Diploma - First Year Level, Diploma - Second Year and Advanced Diploma Level. Presently, the department offers the following specializations namely: Diploma - IT, Advanced Diploma - Database, Advanced Diploma - Networking, Advanced Diploma - Internet and e-Security.
Program Structure
It is a four year degree offered at Ibra College of Technology with levels viz. Diploma(First to Second Year), Advanced Diploma and Baccalaureate (offered in Higher College of Technology, Muscat).
Academic Year:
It is divided into 3 semesters:
- Semester I (September to January) 18 weeks
- Semester II (January to May) 15 weeks
- Semester III (May to June) 8 weeks
Being the integral part of Engineering, Mathematics courses are being taught as core subject at different levels for all specializations. Below are the list of courses:
